Youth soccer tournament software, from pool play to the final.
Pick the format, a volunteer scores each game on a phone, and parents follow every goal live. Your first tournament is free.
Dawrify is youth soccer tournament software and an app for the people who run the event. You pick the format, it builds the games, a volunteer at each field scores the game on a phone, and the standings, the bracket and a public page for every team and player update themselves. Parents follow along in a browser. Your first tournament is free: up to 8 teams of 7 players.
What formats can a youth soccer tournament use?
A weekend tournament is usually pool play into a bracket. That is two stages here, not a workaround, and the other common shapes are stages too.
- Pool play into a bracket
- Groups on Saturday, then the top teams from each group fill a knockout bracket on Sunday.
- Round-robin
- Everyone plays everyone, once or twice. One table decides it, which also runs a rec league season.
- Knockout
- Single elimination with seeded, crossed or random pairing, and byes for the top seeds when the field is uneven.
- Double elimination
- A team has to lose twice to go out. Winners and losers brackets meet in a final.
- League phase
- One table where each team plays a set number of opponents instead of everybody.
Which format does each age play?
U.S. Soccer publishes the largest format for each age group, and says smaller formats can be played at any of them. Your league or association may set its own rules, so check theirs first.
- U7 – U8
- Up to 4v4
- U9 – U10
- Up to 7v7
- U11 – U12
- Up to 9v9
- U13 and up
- Up to 11v11
4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 3v3 in the parking lot.
Seven-a-side and five-a-side come with their own defaults: 25- and 20-minute halves, a 12-player game-day roster and rolling substitutions. For 3v3, 4v4 or 9v9, pick a custom format and set anywhere from 3 to 11 players on the field.
Half length, roster size and substitutions are yours to change for every age group. Dawrify does not enforce U.S. Soccer or league rules; it runs the ones you set.
How do tiebreakers work in pool play?
Before the first game, you put up to twelve criteria in the order you want: goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head and more. The standings apply that order after every result, so nobody argues it at the field.
An example: three teams finish a pool on 6 points. With goal difference first, Hawks and Lions are both +4 and Comets +1, so Comets are third. With goals scored second, Hawks scored 7 and Lions 5, so Hawks win the pool.
How does game day work, from schedule to final?
- 1Bring the teams in
Add teams one by one, or import rosters from an Excel file (.xlsx).
- 2Generate the schedule
The format builds the games. Move any game by hand without breaking the rest.
- 3Hand out the scoring
Make a parent or volunteer the assistant for one game. They score it from the sideline on a phone and see nothing else.
- 4Let the pages update
Every goal reaches the game page, the standings and the bracket as it happens.
- 5Post the graphics
Lineups, upcoming games and final scores come out as graphics in your team colors, ready for the team chat.
How do parents follow live scores?
With a link. Every tournament, team, player and game has a public page that opens in any browser, on any phone, with no account, and the score updates as the volunteer taps it.
Players earn soccer cards from the match record (Debut, First Goal, First Hat-Trick, Tournament Top Scorer and 13 more), and fans vote for the player of the game. Public pages show age, never date of birth, and a private tournament keeps its players private.
What parents see: soccer cards for kidsA scoreboard at the field, a score on the stream.
Put the venue scoreboard on any TV with a browser and it follows the game as it is scored. If someone streams the game, the same score runs as an overlay in OBS.

For a one-off draw, the free generators build a bracket or a round-robin schedule from your team list, with no account. They run the same engine as the product. Live tournament software adds what a printout cannot: scores from the field, standings that sort themselves, and a page parents can follow.
Free round-robin schedule makerHow do you run several age groups at once?
Each age group runs as its own competition, with its own format, schedule and standings. A U8 4v4 and a U12 9v9 at the same event are two competitions on one account.
Each organization's first tournament is free, up to 8 teams of 7 players, and match day is switched on after a short message to us on WhatsApp. That check keeps invented teams and players off the public pages. A bigger event uses a paid plan, priced per tournament by teams and players; if it has several age groups, say so in the same message.
When another tool fits better.
Dawrify runs the competition. These are the jobs it does not do, and who to look at instead.
- Online registration and payments
- Dawrify records fees and prints receipts, but families cannot pay through it. TeamSnap Tournaments, SportsEngine Tourney and Exposure Events all describe online registration.
- A sanctioned event
- GotSport lists US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer as clients. If your event runs under them, use what they use.
- Assigning referees
- Dawrify does not assign officials. TeamSnap Tournaments says it does.
- One team's week
- Practice times, availability and team chat for one team are TeamSnap's core job.
- More than soccer
- Dawrify is soccer only. A multi-sport organization may want one tool for every sport.
Questions from organizers.
Ask us anything else. A person answers.
01Is there a free youth soccer tournament app?
Your first tournament is free, up to 8 teams of 7 players, with no card and no checkout. Bigger tournaments use paid plans, priced per tournament by teams and players, from $15 in the US. Match day is switched on after a short message to us on WhatsApp.
02What age is 4v4 soccer?
U.S. Soccer gives 4v4 as the largest format for U7 and U8, 7v7 for U9 and U10, and 9v9 for U11 and U12. Smaller formats can be played at any of those ages. Your league may set its own.
03Can I run a 3v3 soccer tournament?
Yes. Choose a custom format and set three players a side. Anything from 3 to 11 a side works, with your own half length and roster size.
04What are the tiebreaker rules for a soccer tournament?
There is no single rulebook for youth events; the organizer sets them. Common orders start with head-to-head or goal difference, then goals scored. In Dawrify you put up to twelve criteria in your order before the first game, and the standings apply them.
05Can volunteers score games on their phones?
Yes. Make a volunteer the assistant for one game and they score it from the sideline in a phone browser. They see that game and nothing else.
06Can parents watch the score on a TV at the field?
Yes. Open the venue scoreboard in the browser of any TV or laptop at the field and it follows the game as it is scored.
07Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, in the browser. The organizer's dashboard, the scoring and every public page run in any phone browser. The fan app is on Android.
08Can it run a rec league season, not just a tournament?
Yes. A round-robin or league phase runs a full season with standings after every game. It does not take registration payments.
