Delete your Dawrify account

Last updated 11 September 2026

There are two ways to close a Dawrify account and remove what is attached to it: a screen inside the app, and an email to us. Both reach the same place. This page gives the steps for each, and says plainly what disappears, what is kept for a while, and why.

01From inside the app

Every Dawrify account can be closed from the app itself, two taps from the profile tab. Nothing about it goes through us.

  • Open the Dawrify app and go to the Profile tab.
  • Find Close account at the end of the account section and tap it.
  • Read what the screen lists, then confirm. An account created with an email address and a password asks for that password first; an account created with Google confirms without one.
  • You are signed out on that device and on every other one immediately.

If the app will not open, or you no longer have the device you signed in on, use the email route below. It does exactly the same thing.

02By email

Write to privacy@dawrify.com from the address the account uses and say you want it closed. If you write from a different address we will ask for something that shows the account is yours — the least we can get away with, and nothing we do not need.

We confirm within 30 days and usually far sooner. We will not charge you for it, and we will not ask you to justify it.

Say in the same email if you want the underlying records erased rather than hidden, and we will erase them. The section below is what that distinction means.

03What is deleted, and what is kept

Closing an account is immediate in everything a reader can see, and staged underneath. That is a real distinction and worth understanding before you decide.

Immediately
Access to the account, every session on every device, and everything you follow. Your profile stops appearing on the site, in the app, in any feed and in any search result.
Kept for a period
The underlying account row, marked deleted. A competition's history is interlinked, and a record removed outright mid-season would silently rewrite match records and league tables that other people depend on.
Erased on request
Ask and we erase the underlying record as well, subject only to anything we are legally required to keep. Ask again afterwards and we will tell you plainly what remains and why.
Kept either way
Server logs, short-term, for security and debugging. They are not a profile of you and they are not used as one.

Sessions also expire on their own, whether or not you ever close anything: an access token lasts an hour, and a stay-signed-in token thirty days.

04If your data is here and you never signed up

Most of the people on Dawrify never created an account. Player records — name, squad, appearances, goals, cards, photographs — are entered by the organizer running the competition. If that describes you, there is no account to close and the screen in the app is no use to you.

Write to privacy@dawrify.com and we will deal with it ourselves. You do not have to go through the organizer who entered the data, and your request outranks theirs.

A player record inside a finished competition is the one case where erasing everything is not automatic: appearances and goals sit inside match records and league tables other teams rely on. Tell us what you want removed and we will tell you exactly what it leaves behind before we touch anything.
