University football leagues

Facts checked 23 October 2026

Dawrify runs a university football league between faculties or between universities. Choose a league or groups into a knockout, add the teams, and the fixtures, the table and the top scorers keep themselves up to date. Every match has a public page students can follow live, and the final can go out on a stream with the score on screen. Your first tournament is free, up to 8 teams of 7 players.

1. Inter-faculty, inter-university, freshers' cup

Inter-faculty league
Every faculty plays every other across a semester, once or home and away.
Groups into a knockout
A group stage in the first weeks, then quarter-finals to a final at the end of term.
Inter-university tournament
A few universities, groups and a knockout over a weekend, or a league over the year.
Freshers' cup
A one-day knockout to start the year, with a third-place match if you want one.

Five-, seven- and eleven-a-side each come with their own defaults, and the tie-breaker order is yours: goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head and cards, in the order you choose.

2. Run by students, checked by the table

  1. 1Give each match a scorerAdd students as assistants and give each one a match. That is the only match they can score.
  2. 2Score it liveGoals, cards and substitutions go in from a phone at the pitch, with five seconds to undo a wrong tap.
  3. 3Let the rules apply themselvesThe table sorts itself, top scorers build themselves, and yellow and red cards count towards suspensions without anyone counting by hand.

3. A final that feels like a real one

  • An overlay for your OBS or PRISM stream, with the score and the clock following the match console.
  • A venue scoreboard for a screen at the pitch or in the student union.
  • Goal, line-up and standings posters ready for the student union's Instagram.
  • A public page for every match, team and player, and a player record that follows them across seasons.
  • A vote for the player of the match.

4. What it costs

Your first tournament is free, up to 8 teams of 7 players. A full faculty league and a university that runs competitions all year use paid plans priced by teams and players. To upgrade, message us on WhatsApp; you pay by bank transfer or in cash.

5. When this is the wrong tool

Dawrify is not intramural sports software. If you need these, a campus recreation platform is the better fit:

  • Many sports in one system, from basketball to badminton. Dawrify is football only.
  • Checking eligibility against the student register, collecting waivers, or booking facilities.
  • Taking registration payments online. Dawrify records an entry fee and prints a receipt; the money is paid to you directly.

Questions

How do I run an inter-faculty football league?
Pick a league if every faculty should play every other, or groups into a knockout if the semester is short. On Dawrify you add the faculties as teams and the fixtures are built. Give each match to a student assistant, and the table and the top scorers update as results come in.
Is Dawrify intramural sports software?
No. It runs football competitions only and does not check eligibility, collect waivers or book facilities. For a single football league or tournament it does more than most: live scores, a public page per match, posters and a stream overlay.
Can we stream the final?
Yes. Add the match's overlay link to OBS or PRISM as a browser source, and the score and the clock follow the match console.
Is it free?
Your first tournament is free, up to 8 teams of 7 players. Bigger leagues use paid plans priced by teams and players.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. The dashboard and the app run in English and Arabic with a full right-to-left layout, and the public pages are also published in French.
